It’s cold and miserable in England right now and you know what makes me feel better about that? FOOD! Preferably food of the sweet variety. I love curling up with a mug of tea and one of these incredible brownies. A bold statement, but these are the best brownies I’ve ever tasted and I’m not just saying that because I made them. Upon trying one, my mum texted me demanding the recipe and my mother is a baking pro so that’s high praise indeed. They’re lightly crisp on the outside and oh so squidgy in the middle and packed with chocolate. Oh and don’t forget the sweet and salty caramel which will literally melt your soul. Fact.

These bad boys are super quick to whip up whether you just fancy a bit of comfort eating or want to impress friends and family. You can amend the recipe to suit what you fancy too, why not swap some the chocolate chunks for small marshmallows or pecans? Whatever you chose to do, don’t expect them to stay around for long…

I really love reading list posts so this week I decided to have a crack at one of my own. I’m 24, so I’m well aware that I’m not considered ‘old’ but the other day while chatting with a group of friends in WhatsApp, we realised how much of the stuff we do doesn’t actually reflect our supposedly ‘young and carefree age’ and that we were all basically a bunch of Nanas. Which is great cause y’know, Nanas are awesome. And so came about this weeks post. Enjoy and please be sure to add your own in the comments!

Now I’ve been doing it for a couple of years, I find it a lot easier to tell people I’m a blogger. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t run around shouting about it or anything. But if it just so happens to come up naturally, then I’m happy to talk about it. One of the most common questions I get during these conversations is: “so do you hope to do it full time?”

It’s safe to say that Summer is over. But you know what, that’s ok! Autumn brings a lot to get excited about. The darker evening may make blog photography hell but let’s not talk about that part eh? Instead let’s focus on the good bits – like coming home straight from work to climb into pjs, snuggling into fluffy blankets with a hot drink and watching all the great TV shows that only seem to come about at Autumn. Oh but don’t forget the candles! A flickering candle adds the finishing touch to your cosy evening, especially when it smells amazing too! So you can see why I got very excited when Yankee Candle sent me their brand new range. I’m a bit of a Yankee Candle fangirl, even dedicating an entire drawer to them – sorry Matt – so I was excited to see what they had in store this year. I actually reviewed last years range which you can read

It’s likely that now the weather is starting to get colder, your wardrobe choices have started to include big jumpers, scarfs and boots. But what about your skincare? There are a lot of different factors such as indoor heating and lower air humidity that can make a difference to our skin, making it dull, sensitive and dehydrated, so it’s worth thinking about what you can do to help yourself.
